Natural disasters

I'm sure the hottest news on earth now are the natural disasters happened in China and Myanmar. The 7.9 earthquake that struck May 12 in the Sichuan province killed 68,516 people with 19,350 people still missing. Everyone in China is lending a helping hand to the victims who are still trapped under collapsed buildings and those who had lost their houses and their love ones. The Nargis Cyclone in Myanmar however left 133,000 people dead and missing. Foreign aid was seize by the junta militants, and good news is in yesterday's newspaper reported that all relief workers' visa requests had been approved. Although given the fact that aids are slowly moving into cyclone-hit areas, they are only reaching 40% of the 2.4 million needy survivors, the United Nations says. I cried watching videos of these disasters. They makes me think that life can be so short and fragile and yet I am always complaining about my life here, living comfortably and safely. Millions of families lost their love ones and still continue holding their lives and moving on. And I... I just can't imagine if any of those unfortunate events happen on my own family and love ones.

I hope all of you that have read this post, close your eyes and pray for those who had sacrifice themselves to unite people of the world together for a better future and for the rescue teams that dedicated themselves day and night helping the victims. I salutes you. Do not give up.

Suffering is happening everyday everywhere in different forms. I'm glad u actually stop and look around. It's so good simply to be alive but ppl tend to forget the simplest things they have and look at things they lack. It always takes ppl something bad to happen to realise how lucky they are..

I used to be so scared of losing u guys too, but now i think tat dying is not the worst thing that can happen.. So if one day i die before u do, remember not to be sad for too long becos I'm sure things will be fine for me after tat. We've always known tat our bodies are temporary, but i think the love we gave and receive while we r alive lasts forever.

I haven donated any money to them yet but when I find time to meditate, I pray for them too..

The people there are very strong in coping with everything tat's happening. I salute them too!
